Ok, so I started my diet 20 days ago, and today is the first day that I've ever cheated! I'm so mad at myself and so discouraged! I have lost 60 lbs in 2 years, butI have hit a wall and I need to lose 20 lbs or so in the next 8 weeks. I have hit a weight loss wall and don't know how to change things up. Monday thru Friday I eat...(I tend to cheat...but not a lot on weekends...occasional drinks and an extra small snack here and there) Breakfast: Oatmeal or muti Grain Cheerios Mid-A.M.: Piece of Fruit Lunch: Veggie Delight/Turkey/or Chicken footlong(lots of veggies no heavy sauces on wheat) from Subway with Small bag of baked Lays Mid P.M.: Fiber plus bar Dinner: Chicken or Fish with Green Veggies, occasional rice. Sometimes we will have Chicken Fajita's(no cheese or sour cream) or we will have wheat Pasta once/week(with veggies/Chicken/ light olive oil no heavy sauces) after dinner: Fruit or Rice cake with small amount of P.Butter or healthy Choice fudge bar(100 calories). I run 40 min(3.5 miles) 4 times a week. 2 days I will do straight all the way, 2 other days I will do interval training(sprint 2 min walk 40 sec). I just added 10 min the last 2 weeks to my run to increase weight loss and it has not worked. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my routine and how I can change it up. Okay, so I lost a lot of weight in the past few months, i was at 5 4' weighed 125 now, im 5 '4 weighing in at about 98...I would eat everyday but i was counting calories like no other, i would always try get in 1200 at least and everything.. sometimes i didn't...at the beginning i was working out everynight, then when i got skinnier and skinnier i stopped...and i know i need to gain some weight, and I WANT TO...my periods stopped, i haven't had one in like 6 months, and im always freeeeeezing to death in school, and i hate it. my best friend stays thin and perfect and healthy by just stopping when she is full from eating, she doesn't watch what she eats, she always just stops when she is full and i never used to do that, i would always over eat...so my parents and my whole family are "concerned" about me and my weight and they're taking me to the doctor on thursday and im scared because i don't want to step on the scale and be underweight and take a lot of crap. ugh. i also am getting a physical for a sport that day, and i just want to know...if i start eating healthily and normal again and stopping when im full, will i get to a managable weight? where, im considered skinny but not bony, just like fine and normal? I know this is a lot, but im scared about going to the doctor, i really wish i could just have like a week to eat normally and see if i gain more weight so i can eat good again and not look unhealthy. so if eat normally and not over do it, will i get that pretty healthy weight? and im going to stop butchering myself on calories, like today, i was like this is the end, this has to stop...so i had sweet toast i sprinkled splenda over it with butter and 4 peices of turkey, then for lunch i had a fruit cup and orea snack bag thing, i was gonna get yogurt parfaits because i was like i dont care what im eating anymore, i just need to get healthy again but they had nasty ones so i was left with that haha, but then i had a fruit by the foot for a snack in 6th period which i never would have used to have done, then when i got home i had a 230 calorie lean cuisine pasta thing, and for dinner we went out to a mexi restaurant which i treated myself too, pigged out...starting eating chips and salsa again and ate 4 chicken fajitas in the littler tortillas ahah, plus i ate all my beans and some rice and i felt so much better after it and i got really full, then i just had popsicle and im not even stressed about it, im happy. so thats it, any help on anything? i know that was really long, but oh well. haha moreResolved Question: Has anyone else ever indulged on high-calorie pastries all day, like I did today? So its Valentines Day, didnt have a valentine so I decided to -Make a batch of cookies each was 140 calories i had 4 =0 -Then a cinnamon roll w.icing 310 calories and one huge and -2 small slices of amish friendship bread(Its SOOO good!) On top of that i had a small chicken fajita and a grapefruit this morning. Wow i am going to go run tomorrow and walk to get back on track But has anyone else ever done this? I have been doing really well on my diet and been working out steadily. But today I went out to eat and I am feeling guilty. I went to a mexican restaurant and had some of the chips they give you while you wait for your food. And I ordered water and my meal was mixed fajita (chicken & steak) & i told them to hold the beans, rice, and sour cream. SO all I had was the meat , ONE tortilla , the guacomole and the veggies it came with, and my water. Thats all I had to eat today besides a fit & active broccoli & turkey pocket (there similar to lean pockets 230 calories) 1 apple, and 10 oz. pumpkin spice cappacino all day. Well its 6:30 p.m and I am not touching another thing for the rest of the night & going to workout from 8-10p.m on my treadmill ( i do that every night 6 days a week.) I also already drank up all my 64 oz. of water . NOW IS THIS HORRIBLE WILL I GAIN WEIGHT FROM EATING THIS TODAY??????????????? i'm being forced to go to a mexican restaurant today for lunch. i was orignally going to go with a chicken fajita salad without that crispy shell, however, i looked it up and it has an average of 750 calories with 30 grams of fat. that is entirely too much, and too unhealthy. so now my choices are this... -soft taco with chicken, lettuce, cheese, and little sour cream. with a side of refried beans -just that soft taco ^^ without the beans -chicken burrito with chicken, cheese, little sour cream. -bean burrito with only cheese and the beans. which is most healthy and LOWEST in calories? please dont give me one website because i cannot seem to find a counter that gives me calories for those foods from a regular mex. restaurant. this isnt taco bell, and it isnt "fresh" and healthy restaurant. just a regular. so whats more healthy and lowest calorie? is the beans? help! I had 600 calories throughout the day (all healthy) then my mom took me out for dinner and i had a little more than half of the chicken fajita roll up [just the chicken and the cheese that comes with it in it] and fries as a side. i know its super bad..i ahvent ate THAT extremely bad in so long. but how many calories would that be? How does that work? Sometimes I eat foods that have the nutritional information on the box or package, and sometimes I cannot get the nutritional information for a particular food. I use calorieking.com as a resource, but they don't always have everything or I can't figure out the portions that I have eaten. Do I actually have to measure everything that I eat as well? There are 7 days in a week. Let's say I eat 1,500 calories per day. That's 10,500 calories per week. Let's say I burn 500 calories per day. That's 3,500 per week. If it takes 3,500 to gain or lose a pound then in this case I would have lost a pound. But what happens to the rest of the calories that I don't burn (the difference between 10,500 and 3,500 is 7,000)? I am really confused with this. I work out 5-6 days per week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. 1 hour is cardio and 30 minutes is circuit training. I also eat breakfast, lunch and dinner (with snacks in between). I also drink 64-100 oz. of water per day. I know that I eat over 1,500 calories per day sometimes. So how does that work? Tonight I ate a high-calorie meal (shrimp, chicken and steak fajitas from chili's). I had one flour tortilla with teaspoon of sour cream. I also ordered a side salad with ranch. I started working out a little over two weeks ago. I do it for 1 hour and 30 minutes 5 times per week. I usually do 30 minutes of circuit training and 1 hour of cardio training. On weekends I drink a little less than I normally would and treat myself by having a couple of drinks if I am eating dinner or hanging out with friends. I didn't eat the guacamole, sourcream or cheese that came with it. However, I did eat the pico de gallo and one flour tortilla (that was my first "flour" anything in the past two weeks). I laugh whenever I see Mike Myers playing Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers movie series, offering those he is about to destroy (or at least attempt to destroy) a Hot Pocket. I have to say that this did contribute to my curiosity over Hot Pockets. Were they really that great? Their ads make Hot Pockets look like they are really chock full of all the good stuff. But then I tried a Hot Pocket for the first time the other day and I was sorely disappointed. It was mostly dough and not even that tasty. It was like a buncha calories with no real payoff. So I haven't bought any new ones since. But do you love Hot Pockets? Maybe your kids do? Why? Is there a better brand without all the heavy dough? I am GUESSING it was about 3-3.5 oz of chicken but I am not positive because I didnt weigh it by the oz!! (dummie me.) ok, so i am a recovering anorexic (female, 5'2" 86 lbs and used to eating about 1000 calories a day) i am trying to get up to 1500 calories in a HEALTHY way. Here is what i have had today: 1 apple 63 cal, popcorn - 100 cal, 2 cups skim milk - 172 cal, 2/3 c tomatoes - 20 cal, chicken fajitas - 390 cal, corn flakes - 110, 2 egg whites - 33, 1 c. watermelon - 55, carrots - 37, cottage cheese - 80, crackers - 100, almonds - 100, craisins - 100, cheese - 35. In total: 1400 calories, 31 g fat (6 sat, 7 poly, 14 mono) 218g carbs, and 73g protein. what is a healthy way to get 100 more calories? So many people I talk to claim that chipotle is healthy because it is grilled, they use fresh ingredients, etc. But all I see is a burrito with a ton of calories and a high fat content. A typical chicken burrito (13" tortilla, rice, black beans, chicken, and red tomatillo [no extras] has 947 calories, 29 grams of fat (only 5 of which is saturated, which is pretty impressive), 120 g carbohydrates, and 52 g of protien (which I also like about it). Substituting the fajita vegetables for the meat doesnt really change much either.
